Stone Oak sits north of us along US 281, past Loop 1604 — a short run up the highway from our shop, which means templating and installation there are ordinary day trips, not out-of-area jobs.
Stone Oak is largely late-1990s and 2000s construction, and that shapes the countertop work we do there. Kitchens are big, islands are common, and a lot of them still have the builder-grade tops the homes were sold with — laminate, tile, or an entry-level granite that has dated badly. Replacing those is the most common Stone Oak job on our schedule.
The cabinets in these homes are usually in good shape, which is the good news: new stone goes straight onto the existing boxes. You get a kitchen that reads as fully remodeled for a fraction of a real remodel, and the cabinets never come out.
Because so many Stone Oak kitchens are open to a living area, the counter is visible from most of the ground floor. That pushes people toward larger-format slabs and fewer seams — and toward seeing the actual slab in person rather than picking from a sample.
Large islands and open-plan sightlines mean seam placement matters more here than almost anywhere else we work. We plan seams before templating and tell you where they will land.

One thing we state plainly everywhere: we do fabrication and installation only. We do not take countertop repair work of any kind. If your existing tops are damaged and you want them replaced, that is squarely our work — if you are looking to have stone repaired in place, you want a restoration specialist, and we would rather say so up front than waste your time.
